I have this monitor for only two weeks now. I can't comment on longevity. br /I am using it to extend the desktop of my laptop under Windows XP. I don't think it is the most up-to-date monitor in terms of response time, digital input and so on, but neither is my laptop. For my purposes it is great, and the price justified getting it despite of my laptop being oldish. br /Working on two screens, e.g. having a word processing program and a browser for research open simultaneously makes geek life a bit more productive. I should have probably gotten one a long time ago. br /I also like the fact that it came well-packed within three business days of purchasing it.

This is my first flat screen monitor and I am well satisfied with the picture quality and the sharpness of the images. I would recommend this monitor to all my friends.
