Good Monitor, Good Price August 23, 2008

This monitor replaced an old and power-hungry Diamondtron. It's every bit as sharp and bright as the CRT, but uses probably a quarter of the electricity. If you don't need a widescreen, but want great gaming and multimedia experiences, I'd recommend this model. Note that I did have a problem with the first one of these I received: At 2 months of use, the backlight failed. Fortunately, Samsung's Service Dept. was easy to work with and got me a replacement in a reasonable time, so I still rate the device well. There have been no problems with the replacement and hopefully I will not need to use their superior, 3-year warranty again.
