A built-in data-file stores up to 60 sets of phone numbers (with names) with a password security lock. The translator has an LCD display with adjustable contrast, volume level selection (3 levels), key tone on/off switch, auto power off and display backlight which can be turned off to preserve batteries. I bought this device for my boss who is taking his wife to Paris. They have traveled alot to Italy, but never to Paris. My boss is what you would call "Technology Challenged" so I wanted to get him something that he could figure out pretty easily. He played around with it for a couple of hours and feels that he knows how to use it quite well. He is very happy to have it since he does not speak French at all.

This is a really cool machine. It has a lot of phrase that you can look up easily. Then just push a button and it speaks the phrase in a different language. I strongly recommend it to an one that travels to foreign countries.

I bought this translator for my husband because he is going to China on a trip in a few months.This translator offers a great choice of phrases for almost any kind of situation . It is also really easy to use and carry. I would recommend it to anyone traveling overseas. Great buy.
