I just popped this in my ML1740 (it was a piece of cake) and it's printing nice and black again. I can't comment on life as I've only printed a few pages, but it looks good so far.

Got the toner a couple days ago. Nicely packaged. Fit right into the printer with no problem. So far is printing excellent quality (but only been a couple days). Use to refill the toner but the drum started going bad. Love that this item includes a new drum! It's like having a new printer again.

It's so much more worth it buying a generic toner. No need to buy directly from samsung and the printing works great!

I installed it just like the part from Samsung. printing is fine, I gave 4 stars because I cannot tell if it can print the same number of pages as it claims.
