 A perfect replacement for my Direct TV Tivo remote June 19, 2008

br /I bought this not knowing if it would work with my Direct TV Tivo box. It works perfectly, if anything my Tivo seems a bit more responsive to remote commands. This remote is a metallic grayish=silver not the black as pictures. br / br /This was a great value @ $9.99 compaired to prices double that and more on Ebay at the time.

If you're used to using a standard Tivo Series 2/3 remote, this one will take a little getting used to. The TV Power and TV Input buttons are below the Instant Replay and Skip buttons instead of in the upper left corner of the keypad, and the Window/Aspect button is moved up to where the TV Power button should be. The slider normally used to switch between controlling 2 Tivos selects between controlling the Tivo and controlling the TV (which means only that the Channel Up/Down button controls the TV tuner when the slider is pushed to the right.) You actually can control two Tivos with this remote but it's complicated; you must reprogram the remote each time you want to switch devices. This product does, however, control the TiVo without requiring you to point the emitter directly at the DVR and all other keys have familiar positions and functions.
