The newly designed Samsung TX-S2782H is the world's slimmest 27" CRT TV that employs an innovative Samsung SDI Slim CRP (Cathode Ray Panel). It utilizes a Nano Pigment Screen, which delivers deeper colors, higher contrasts and a wider range of color expression throughout the entire screen. It produces excellent image quality regardless of fluctuations in the input signal. In an industry with over 100 million consumers who have yet to transition from analog to High Def there is an incredible need for replacing the popular standard 4:3 analog CRT television with a HDTV. Many of the current analog users experience their TV viewing on a 27" analog set that fits in an existing TV cabinet or armoire. This TV is an amazing value. Better than LCD quality & all the features you need for the new era.
I have no idea what folks are complaining about! This TV is awesome. My son bought the 30" widescreen version and he loves it.
I'm looking at LCD TV's for another room right now and when comparing prices this TV is still a winner if you care about what the picture looks like vs. whether or not it is an LCD. Quality and price, just awesome.
This is my sixth Samsung TV since 1983. The 1983 Color TV still works.
Samsung is the best value on the market today.

The T.V. is actually very good and was a gift. The box was received at work by my warehouse guys, no outside damage therefore they signed for the box. Upon giving the gift to my daughter 2 weeks later we discovered the t.v. to be damaged. It had been dropped or something, but because we signed free and clear I am stuck with a damaged t.v. I suggest any shipment as this even if the box looks good, to take item out and look it over before signing. This was not a cheap gift but I am stuck with it.
