I picked up DVE BR version and was pleased with the amount of test patterns and ease of use, I assumed the HD-DVD version would be the same but it was basically a slightly advanced version of the orignial DVE.

not all that bad but it could be better

Interesting DVD which allows you to understand the different elements involved in calibrating your video and audio equipments. Not as easy to use as you might originally think, but will pretty much improve overall picture quality.
