I called up Samsung and they told me that Amazon offers their service plan but at a cheaper cost than theirs (their price was $512 for 3 year) because their plan is valid after the mfr's warranty whereas Amazon offers from Date of Purchase. They also said that they do not offer any plan for 5 years. My question is then how is Amazon offering a 5-yr plan? br / br /Although this is cheaper than the 3-year plan offerred by Samsung Customer service. br / br /They said that the terms and conditions remain the same for both the plans( by Amazon and Samsung) except for validity.
