If you do a moderate amount of faxing, and need a stand alone fax, this is a great machine. You can scan faxes into the memory while it is sending, so if you have several faxes to send, you can scan them all in at once. Saves a lot of time. The inkjet faxes are much easier to read than thermal rolls. br / br /The reason I didn't give it a five-star was that it wouldn't receive right out of the box. Took a good 15 minutes on the phone with Brother's customer service (here in the US, BTW...) but it got done. Some internal setting was off. But, it now works great. Just know that's a very minor problem if it occurs. Nuisance.
