| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The superior inherent detail of 35 mm film combined with PrimeFilm 1800i's advanced optics provides the uncompromised image quality that traditional flatbed scanners just can't compete with. The PrimeFilm 1800i captures such excellent image detail from both positive slides and negative filmstrips, you can retouch any image exactly the way you want it. The PrimeFilm 1800i captures 1800 dots per inch (dpi) giving you 3 times the resolution of the average desktop scanner. For graphics professionals, this means that you can enlarge images to approx. 20 cm x 13 cm (7.8" x 5.1") and still maintain the 1:1 300 dpi resolution sufficient for color separation and offset printing. Previously the realm of experienced graphics professionals and photographers, high resolution color film scanning is now available to a broad range of home, office or home, office or school users in this compact, inexpensive unit. Now there are no excuses not to own one!

I have used this item quite a few times and it has worked as advertised. It would be nice if it worked a little faster, but if you want high resolution you have to expect to take a little while. br / br /Don Maffitt
My slides can be digitalized! January 18, 2007 L. Stothert (Mesa, AZ) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have over 1000 slides that have been taken in the past 30 years of our children and I wanted to put them on my laptop and cd. Now that is all possible thanks to my Primefilm Scanner. It is very simple to hook up and then to use. It may take 45 - 60 seconds per slide but it is worth it. The savings from paying someone to do it professionally are huge and it gives me something to do in my spare time while looking at old memories. The machine is durable, yet light and slimline. Sits beside my laptop with out being an eyesore.
