The DCX300 utilizes DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) technology that's suited to voice, data and networking applications with a cordless range of up to 1600 feet away from the phone base. This system also allows for three-way conference calling--a great option for making long-distance calls to family members or for small office teleconferences--and you can also quickly transfer calls between handsets. And a light on the handset immediately alerts you when you have a new message.

About DECT Technology
Advanced DECT 6.0 technology, or Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications, operates on the newly released 1.9 GHz frequency band that was recently allocated to support cordless telephony.
