Amazingly bright (I got the white LED). I keep it on my keychain and it's proven to be very useless on numerous occasions. I used to keep a mini flashlight in my purse but sometimes you want the light handy and not have to dig got it in a handbag. This little thing is perfect for the job. It also has a setting for constant light (without you having to press it). I bought it because it has good reviews and seemed to be good quality. There are cheaper imitations out there but I wanted something that would last. I'm very pleased with it.

Mine easily clips onto a key ring; the squeeze button requires about the same amount of pressure you would use to try to slightly squeeze together the sides of a plastic bottle cap from a 2 liter bottle of soda or water bottle cap. The slider switch is awesome--no trouble. The whole flashlight is very durable, nothing has come loose since I received it Aug 25, '08. This light illuminates my path with plenty of light without eye strain.

I purchased four of these for my house and car key rings. They are very bright for their small size. I like the quick disconnect spring clip feature, it makes it easier to use if you just need the light without a bundle of keys attached. The slide switch is also a great feature and clicks to a constant on position, some of the others I looked at had to be pressed constantly to stay on. They are also great for a ladies purse and can be attached to one of the inside zipper pull rings.

The Photon Micro-Light II is very small, hangs easily on a keychain, and shines brightly for a light smaller than your thumb. The light illuminates when you push a button with your thumb. While I like the light a lot and it works very well, there are a couple significant downsides to this particular model. First, to keep the light on when you remove your thumb, you must slide a tiny, tiny switch -- something that people with limited mobility will find difficult if not impossible to do. Second, changing the batteries requires you to remove four tiny screws with an extremely small philips head screwdriver (similar in size to a screwdriver for the screws in eyeglasses). br / br /I would suggest considering a more recent model by the same manufacturer, the Photon Freedom Micro Light [Tools: Flashlights], which addresses my complaints about the Photon II. Changing the batteries on the Photon Freedom does not require removing screws, the brightness can be adjusted, and the thumb button controls a number of lighting options without the stiff, ridiculously small sliding switch. Many color beams (including UV, IR) are available for both the Photon II and the Photon Freedom (you choose one color beam to purchase--you don't get several colors out of the same flashlight), and the newest version of the Photon Freedom with white beam boasts a new LED twice as bright as earlier models. br / br /In sum, Photon II is a great little light, but the newer Photon Freedom is easier to use and maintain and boasts more features.

Always have a light when you need it--attach it to your keys and you'll appreciate it many times over. Bright, easy to use, solidly made and convenient.
