couldn't be better June 10, 2008 D. Emmanuel I've been using this monitor for 6 months now, and it couldn't be better for office work--crisp and clear and very customizable. The conservative plain black frame is great--no distractions from the screen. It would be good if they made a 22" version of this monitor.
I'm Looking At It May 12, 2008 DEEZEE I'm using it right now and I am very satisfied with my purchase. However, it was described as only a repackaging because the original boxes were damaged, but the way it was repackaged indicated that more than just the box was damaged. All of the usual styrofoam packing components were missing.
Great image, but a few caveats March 29, 2008 D. Campbell I bought this monitor about 14 months ago and was very happy with the clarity, color and crispness. I was not happy with the stand - nor the panel on the back that hides the connectors. This panel falls off at the slightest touch when you attempt to move the monitor just a bit or the riser it's sitting on. It doesn't fit well and only has a solid connection at the top, but if you tape it shut, it's acceptable. Also, after about 9 months my monitor developed grey vertical lines about 2" apart going all the way across the screen. It's not terribly noticeable except when viewing a dark screen, but the Samsung techs told me that nothing was wrong with it. I might think about another brand when replacing this monitor.
Clear. Bright. Big. Beautiful. March 2, 2008 Jeffrey E Ellis (Naperville, IL USA) The SAMSUNG 19" 941BW is an excellent value for a superior monitor. I replaced my smaller (15") Sony flat screen with this larger unit and am very impressed with the improvements in every respect. The Samsung image is clear, bright and beautifully detailed. The analog and digital connections make it adaptable and seamless to set up and use, regardless of the input drivers. Setting it up was plug 'n play. I also bought one for my parents (70+) to replace their CRT and was concerned about the ease of setup. I needn't have been. They were up and running before I was and so pleased with the results. My eyes aren't what they used to be, but I can easily read everything on the 19" unit and would recommend it for personal or business use. I run Vista on an HP Pavilion 450n, Pentium 4 model with an Invidia video driver.
Exactly What I Was Looking For February 22, 2008 baph0met This monitor worked straight out of the box and has so far adjusted itself to perfectly fit the display of three computers - two desktops running Ubuntu and Slackware Linux respectively, and a laptop running Windows XP. The resolution is better than I had anticipated and the refresh rate keeps up with even fast-paced gaming. No dead pixels. No need to read the instructions. No incompatibilities. No problems. No complaints.
