The woofer is made of Poly-Menthyl-Penten, a durable material that's 15 percent lighter than most other driver designs. The Advanced PMD cone wall, meanwhile, is thicker than most cones (it checks in at 1 mm) yet weighs the same, giving it greater stiffness.
