This kit includes the powerful Xpress XM7 satellite radio receiver with its large, easy-to-read 5-line display screen, and a handy IR remote control that lets you run the XM7 without having to take your eyes off the road.p The Xpress XM7 XM satellite radio receiver is full of features, controlled with buttons that include display, search, menu, a rotary/select knob, power/IR eye, memory, preset/direct, jump, and 10 presets/numbers. The display button lets you choose between artist, song, title and data service info, while memory lets you store up to 20 song/title/artist combinations so you can look later at something that caught your interest. Not only does this unit provide plenty of music and radio stations with dynamic means of searching for desired content by artist, genre, or others, but it can provide you with a stock ticker that allows you to monitor up to 20 stocks, plus it offers information extras so you can follow things like the scores for your favorite sports teams.p The XM7 receiver features an internal wireless FM transmitter, which allows you to play XM satellite radio content through any audio device with an FM radio receiver without the need for (or hassle of) hardwire connections. This has worked great for me. The remote control is a little silly, since I can't (and shouldn't) be looking at the remote to find the buttons while I'm driving. But you don't have to use the remote.

Very easy to install and reception is excellent with an optional auxillary br /input cord to factory radio (picked up at Radio Shack). Reception not up to par in my area using the built in FM frequency transmitter. For the price, the product is a good buy and very enjoyable.

I put off buying this, as I was unsure of the reception I'd get, as I travel on mountain roads with large overhanging trees. Reception, though, is fine- but remember to use both antennas, the magnetic one, which goes on the roof of the vehicle, coupled (with the connector supplied)to the exterior car-radio antenna (that came with the vehicle). Easy to use controls. If you don't set up the account via the internet, try to get a live person if you do it over the telephone- the automated voice recognictions software had its gliches. br /Overall- very pleased!
