5 out of 5 stars Delivered as promised   July 3, 2007

Just had this installed last weekend professionally attached to my Alpine CDA-9857. Don't even know where it is installed and frankly, don't care. The external antenna is about the size of a half dollar (about as thick as a pen) and provides exceptional quality. Works great, sounds great!

5 out of 5 stars A great alternative to the FM transmitter style   March 20, 2006

I've had this tuner and accompanying car antenna for 9 months now, and they both work great. I installed them myself (thanks to Crutchfield's great included step-by-step instructions), connecting them through my Alpine 9847 stereo, and I haven't had any problems whatsoever (knock, knock). Reception is great everywhere, provided the antenna can reach the sky (eg, not in a tunnel). A really great direct connect option, which provides much better reception and sound than the FM transmitter alternatives available.
