 A big improvement March 19, 2008

My original battery that came with my Razr had problems from the beginning, and it got to the point where it would die after 1 short phone call. This is a great improvement over the original battery for the price. I've been using it for 5 days now and have not yet had to recharge (of course this is the 1st use...)--what a relief. I only give it 4 stars because this battery adds noticeable weight and bulk to the phone. Also, I couldn't find a red door to match my phone so it looks a little weird having this big extended silver door against the red phone. Wish Motorola would've made their batteries this good from the beginning.

I gave this 5 stars mainly due to the price versus going to a cellular store who sold me the phone and would charge more than 5x for the name brand. This 'off' brand battery does everything the Motorolla branded battery and cover would do but at a considerably small fraction of the price.
No longer am I having to look for a charger after making two 5 minutes calls with the stock battery. In fact I could easily skip a night or two without even recharging.
The only downside to the extended size is it does not fit my case very well but that is a phone design problem not so much the extended battery's problem.

With twice the power of the original, this battery gives you plenty of talk time. I grew tired of charging my original battery almost every night. This battery gives me close to a week of use before needing recharging. The silver cover was an exact match for the phone. The price is the best around. Although it is a bit thicker and heavier than the original, its not that much of a detriment and well worth the power advantage. Especially if you are running a blue tooth or listening to MP3s.

Pros - Very reasonable price. Extended battery life, much longer between recharges. Replacement cover has pretty good fit and good color match. Size and weight increase are reasonable.
Cons - Replacement cover is plastic, would prefer aluminum.
