I loved this little piece of protection for the entire first year of my phone's life. However, after a fall from my hand to concrete, my phone was scratched and chipped and the case cracked in the same place. Silicone is tricky... as a whole it is very protective. It forms a subsantial barrier against minor surface scratches and nicks. But after a crack in the barrier, the entire area surrounding the crack is compromised. It's hard to explain, but after the fall, and the crack in the rubbery case, the skin is completely useless. I am now using a leather sleeve from Sena and I enjoy it much more because I am able to see the wonderful curves of my 8800. It's also better looking - it's white leather. br / br /The good news: the skin did protect my phone from breaking into many pieces, but I doubt it would have done that even if it would have fallen unprotected onto the concrete. More than anything, this skin is "cool." I had a Naztech case that actually fit the device with the rubber skin on it, but you might not be so lucky with your favorite case.
