I'm 14 and was required to pay for my phone and all accessories as well as the monthly bills. As a result, I wanted to do everything I could to make sure my phone was protected in case I dropped it or did something to it or whatever. I got screen protectors, $6 a month insurance so I only have to pay $50 for a new phone if it gets crushed by a car or whatever instead of the over-$400 original price of the phone, and this protective case. I would have opted for the hard plastic one but it made the send and end keys hard to use and it didn't feel as comfortable to hold. I had to choose between the black, pink, and clear (white) silicone covers at the Verizon store and chose this black one because it matches the phone quite well and doesn't look ou tof place like the others do. I think it's easier to text and everything with the cover on as opposed to having it off because your fingers glide across the keys better. I've had for a total of four days (the phone and all it's protective stuff) and it's survived being dropped 40 feet off of my church's roof (don't ask), slamming against the wall as I climbed off the zip line in our VBS Power Lab Power Generator Machine, my 3 year old sisers (they're twins), and much much more. I'm the biggest klutz on the planet and you can see no damage whatsoever on my phone. The plastic case, I'm assuming, would be scatched up and stuff by now with me. The silicone one (the one that I'm reviewing that you're reading) has more layers of silicone on the corners and borders of the phone so if it's dropped or anything it's more protected. All in all, a great investment even though it's quite cheap. Highly highly recommended.
