My brother loves this TV. Samsung makes great TVs BUT I have a problem with them on this one. Samsung shouldn't advertise this TV as having PIP (Picture-In-Picture) when it only has one tuner and therefore does NOT have PIP! Samsung's response, you CAN watch a TV channel AND a VCR or DVD player which we call PIP. Who wants that I ask? Your BAD Samsung!!

Samsung HLT5089S 50-inch Slim LED Engine 1080p DLP HDTV
Ordered this TV on Amazon site, Vanns fulfilled the order. The set arrived on time and in excellent condition. Despite being rear-projection it is very slim. Picture quality is excellent. I was a little concerned because I have read that DLP TV's are not great if viewed at an angle. While there is a slight decrease in the vibrancy of the color when not viewed directly, even at 45 degrees I think the picture is still very clear and bright. Excellent contract ration. With the LED engine, no noise, no rainbow. The set has so many inputs I can't use them all, 3 HDMI, two component, composite, etc.

This television is amazing. The remote & menus take some getting used to but it has a bright, vibrant picture and the action scenes translate efficiently and clearly (watching the NCAA Tournament) with no blur. The LED light below the power button is annoying but this is most definitely the best value in DLP TV's with an LED light engine it should be nearly repair free over the lifetime of the product. I highly recommend this television.
