3 out of 5 stars Short lifespan   February 14, 2007

If you're considering buying this bulb, just be aware that it has a
lifespan of 20 hours. Those specs aren't included here, but if you do
some research on other websites selling bulbs, you'll find it's true.
I haven't found a better option although I've ordered some fluorescent
bulbs that provide a similar lumens (which for this bulb is something
like 6500). I know that the light from the fluorescent bulb will be
cooler, but it's lifespan is 10,000 hours. (I use the light to take
photos but also as a source of light to paint by so I'm looking for
something that has the light of an incandescent but also a longer life).

3 out of 5 stars Not sure of what the problem was.   February 7, 2007

When I turned on the lamp hood, it "blew". So, I removed the 250w bulb, replaced it with a 100w bulb and its ok. Dont know why the 250w bulb was a problem. OK, I guess I wasted my money.
