Great cable at a great price November 24, 2008 A. Zaman (State College, PA) This is a very sturdy cable for a great price. Since it's a digital signal, there is no difference in picture quality between this cable or any other (higher priced or lower priced) DVI-D cable. The signal is either there 100% or not at all. Keep that in mind when buying any digital cable. The most important aspects are that it meets your length needs and the cable itself will hold up to any physical wear and tear. After that, you'd be hard pressed to find someone who can tell the difference between this cable and a similar length DVI-D cable from Monster Cable....aside from about thirty bucks of course.
First rate cable at great price October 22, 2008 C. Winton (Jacksonville, FL USA) Like others, the very low price for this cable made me suspicious, but it is exactly what it purports to be, a DVI-D digital dual link cable. Quality-wise the cables are as good as any I've seen from major suppliers. I bought two of them to gain the advantage of a digital connection between my PC and LCD monitors rather than use the analog cables supplied by the vendor. Monitors generally only require single link, but dual link works just as well; the extra wiring for the dual link capability just goes unused but for this price, who cares. Delivery was on schedule (actually a day early) to my doorstep by US mail. Note: if you are using these as I did, you may have to do some fiddling around with settings on both your monitor and your PC (i.e., display problems likely have nothing to do with cables). I'm using XP and that was easy enough using "display settings" (plus some tweaking via nVidia's software), but to get the monitor to give up on analog mode and reset itself for digital I had to actually pull the plug on the monitor so the monitor's "plug and play" would do the reset.
Exactly what you would expect for less than retail stores. October 15, 2008 Zeph Greenwell (Decatur, IL) I have a nice video card on my computer and recently got a new monitor. Since I had the option I'd figure I'd step up to a DVI connection and was shocked when I found that very few retail stores sell them. The one store I found that did was wanting $75 for this exact same cable! Well, if you're looking for a DVI cable yourself, let me assure you, there is no need to pay that much. br / br /I bought this cable and it arrived in a couple days. I was surprised by how thick the cable was. It feels like a very solid cable. As far as video quality goes it is very good. I use it for games and HDTV from Media Center. This cable is a good buy. I'm glad I bought one.
Works Great September 7, 2008 J.S. (Bryant, AR) Replaced a DVI to VGA adapter with with this cable and the monitor has less ghosting. Great product for the price.
Great for price September 3, 2008 James Prentice (Reno, NV USA) Bottom Line: It doesn't get any cheaper than this, and the cable works fine. br / br /I wanted to use a second LCD monitor on my desktop and my graphics card has 2 DVI outputs. My main monitor is now set up using the cable and my second monitor is using an analog cable with a DVI converter. You have to really look to see the quality difference (the monitors aren't identical, so it isn't a 100% fair comparison). I don't know if it's worth upgrading the analog cable you already have, but if you need a second cable, it's definitely worth the money. I tried looking around at regular stores to find this type of cable, but they aren't widely available and if you do find one it'll probably be at least $20. br / br /If any issues arise, I will revise my review (Just set it up today).
