so far as I know, this is the only wireless 5.1ch surround sound system. it has (2) optical (TOSLINK) inputs as well as (1) digital coax input and then the usual Rt & Left analog stereo inputs too. The one, really great feature about this system, apart from it's very rich & clean sound is the fact that the rear speakers are wireless! When I say wireless, they are not really 100% wireless though, because they have to be powered by 110v AC source and so there are power cords that come from each rear speaker to a wall outlet. The front speakers, center channel and subwoofer are wired in the more traditional sense that most of us are accustomed to with speaker wires into the receiver. The setup is quick and painless, the main receiver unit finds your components easily, almost inuitively and the resulting sound experience is very rewarding. I'm pretty sure this item has been discontinued and so many sellers are really ripping off the prospective buyers for $400-$500 while I got lucky and paid just $200.
