Some Blockbuster stores have these for $99.00 with DVR station at 69.99 and battery extender for 29.99. br / br /Although I own several other Archos devices, I bit at the 99.00 dollar price tag and got yet another Archos. br / br /I suspect that Blockbuster may have purchased many of these in advance of a planned Kiosk system where customers were just going to connect the device at a Blockbuster store and transfer a video rental in 30 seconds. The trial is ongoing in Texas, but these prices may indicate that user acceptance is leaving much to be desired, leading them to dump their existing inventory. br / br /I purchased two 50 dollar Blockbuster gift cards to get the 10.00 free additional card and then turned around and bought the 99.00 unit for an effective price of 89.00. br / br /It has many advantages over my older 604 model as documented in other reviews and many other disadvantages as also documented. br / br /Pro: I like the reduced weight and improved screen, and price as purchased at Blockbuster. br / br /Con: Battery life is poor, wifi connection range is poor, customer support is non-existent, and getting it to recognize cards in the SD card slot is problematic. Having to purchase the Opera Browser plug in is ridiculous. br / br /BUT, for the price and the functionality that works, it gets thumbs up! br / br /
