I've purchased several of these portable players lately for me, my wife and some frends, because we serve as volunteers teaching deaf people, and portable DVD players are a usefull tool in this field. So I can say this LG is one of the best I`ve seen and I specially like the USB feature since it makes it easy to load pictures. The only thing I dont like that much is the external battery. I like most the ones with the battery inside.

We got this for my daughter, she is 2 years old, and movies are one of the few things which make her stop crying.
br /The audio and image quality is good.
br /Cons:
br /1. It does not recharge when playing... and 4 hours autonomy may not be enough on a long trip.
br /2. The recharger does not work with European voltage, so you need to use the provided car adapter or buy a new recharger for 220V.
br /Pros:
br /1. Easy to make it region free and watch any dvd from any country.
br /2. My daughter has not damaged it... yet

br /Excellent portable DVD player. A nice feature is the ability to turn the screen off when listening to a CD or a MP3. This prolongs the charge in the battery. There was an initial concern about the problem of low audio volume. But after going to AUDIO and changing the factory setting (PCM) to BITSTREAM and the DRC from ON to OFF the volume was so loud that I never use it on full. Nice machine but when not in use be sure to remove the battery. The unit drains the battery even when shut off.

We bought this player to use on trips in the car and on the plane for our 2 year old. We have used it once on a road trip and it worked out great! The sound it is just loud enough for her to hear it in the back seat and we are not bothered in the front seat by it. I love the swivel screen it keeps our daughter from playing with all the buttons. It is good use for keeping her entertained.
