Hi-fidelity, high-performance crystal-clear Axiom sound is now available in an in-wall center channel configuration, with enough output to make dialog heard even in the back row of your dedicated home theater. The new W150 center channel speaker's three woofers and two tweeters provide the kind of transparent, neutral, wide-range sound you expect from Axiom, without any of the weaknesses that plague other in-wall speakers. Other in-walls rely on the wall cavity to tune the bass output, resulting in a speaker whose performance varies from wall to wall and room to room. Additionally, the drivers' rear output produces distorted sound in the neighboring rooms. The W150 overcomes these drawbacks with a fully integrated enclosure that recesses into the wall, combined with an attractive exterior baffle portion that keeps the speaker's woofers and tweeters away from the sound-degrading effects of the wall's surface. The W150 on-wall/in-wall hybrid center speaker preserves the sonic clarity of its stand-alone equivalent, the VP150. The triple 5 1/4-inch aluminum cone woofers and dual 1-inch titanium tweeters provide exceptional detail and wide-angled dispersion in medium to large rooms. A supplied self-clamping frame anchors the speaker firmly to the wall when the screws are tightened. The series is available in a variety of attractively-finished front baffles to suit any decor.
