 Wow!! More bang for your buck. November 15, 2009

Following much research(probably too much), I purchased the Energy Take Classic 5.0 through Amazon marketplace. They are replacing a 15 year old set of Boston Accoustic CR6 and CR1 speakers. I presently have them hooked up to a 15 year old Technics SA GX490 receiver. Though much smaller in stature, the Energy speakers just blow the BA speakers away and they aren't even fully broken in yet. Big sound comes from these little speakers. The clarity is surprising. The highs and the mids are so much clearer and true. Realistically, they will never sound as good as Bose, but dollar for dollar they are a much better value than most mid or high end speakers, and they look good too! My family loves movies and I listen to a lot of music in a 13'x18' space. These speakers have impressed all of us. I can't wait to hear them with my new Pioneer VSX-1019AH-K and BIC subwoofer.

br /Now the bad:
br /- The wire connectors are cheap but functional. Banana clips are not accommodated.
br /- Most universal speaker stands will not securely hold these speakers. The mounting screw is too high on the rear of the speaker and it is above the wire connectors. I ended up using a cheap set of Init wall mounts instead.

The Energy Take Classic 5.0 are super sounding speakers for my home theater setup. Man, I have been missing alot. Best purchase I've made in years.

Packaged beautifully and did not charge extra for delivery to Alaska unlike so many other compannies. Best part was everything worked! These are my very first home theater speakers and were purchased due to the positive responses of other reviewers. These speakers did not disappoint. Music played through them sound awesome with very nice sounding bass. (Wife approves of the looks, size and sound.) It certainly adds to the movie viewing experience as well. I also purchased the matching Energy subwoofer and it has not disappointed. The whole set is handsomely crafted.....looks and feels like the outside of a black baby grand piano. What are you waiting for? You will not be disappointed. (I paid $179.00 for mine which included shipping and $149.00 for the matching subwoofer which also includes shipping.)

Awesome speakers....Did a lot of research on satellite speakers to buy as space was a big consideration.Ended up on buying this after reading 5 star reviews everywhere.
br /Not dissapointed at all.Lives to its billing.
br /Paired it with a boston subwoofer and the highs and lows and everything in between sound great.
br /Use it with a Onkyo SR-507 reciever all in all very happy with the speakers.Grab them before they are sold out.
