Turn the woofer around, and the new magnet cover and Spring Compression Terminals set the TS-W301R apart from the competition.The TS-W301R handles 800 watts max. (150 watts nominal power), and features Pioneer's extremely strong and lightweight IMPP Composite Cone Woofer, for improved sensitivity and reduced distortion. The Conex Damper with Damper Ring delivers higher power handling and deeper bass, and the 4-Layer Long Voice Coil adds extra power and control. I bought these from my local Wal-Mart for my first car audio installation. I used two TSw301R's and a sony 1200 watt XM2002GTR. Let me tell you this. I can't believe how good these speakers sound for the price. Don't be fooled into buying expensive subs when these sound great. Keep in mind, this is my first install and I havent heard any "competition" systems, but I can't turn my amp up any more without having terrible pain in my ears. These are LOUD, and my amp isn't even at 1/2 gain. I would highly recommend these for someone who is a beginner in car audio, or someone looking for an inexpensive, great sounding sub. I'm scared that my car is going to rattle to pieces. Buy them.
