| Customer Reviews: Excellent sound! November 21, 2009 Rico Suave (Ontario, Canada) I'm a budget conscious audiophile and I was a bit hesitant on the whole wireless concept. I was under the impression that I would lose some sound depth...but wow was I ever mistaken. I've owned Polks for years now and have always been impressed by the overall quality of their products. I was also hesitant about the whole "Made in China" side of the equation...but apparently Polk engineers are always on site in China to ensure that all their speakers meet Polk's quality requirements. If any of you are hesitating...don't! This sub does exactly what a sub is supposed to do...in that it properly complements the sound emanating from a good set of main speakers.
br /Basically...very pleased!

Great sub for a great price! November 9, 2009 Oreoflow (Plano, TX) I got this sub the other day to add to my Polk RM85 setup. The setup could not be easier! Just plug in the subwoofer cable and select a channel, so easy. The sub is fairly small, but it packs a surprisingly big punch. Easily hits harder than the sub it replaced (which was rated as more than 2x as many watts and was twice as big.
Great Sub! November 3, 2009 rgncajun68 (New Orleans) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I needed a wireless sub because my components (receiver, dvr, and dvd player) are kept in a media closet off my living room. Running wires would have been painful. This was a great solution to complete my home theater.
FANTASTIC PRODUCT!!! October 7, 2009 Tushar Dhoraje (San Jose, CA United States) 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
I was looking for a wireless sub to complement a 32" Sony XBR LCD TV that has 5.1 surround bar and a small built-in subwoofer at the back on the LCD panel. Since this TV is in a bedroom I don't have enough space to add external speakers or any other audio components, which is why I paid a premium to get the built-in 5.1.

br /When I saw this wireless sub at $208 on Amazon, it was worth trying so I ordered it and received it in less than a week. Took me 5 mins to plug in and VOW, what a difference it made! The wireless transmitter has Audio-L R ports that are connected to the Audio out of my TV. It also has a LFE input to connect directly to the sub woofer output of an amp. I'm blown away by the quality of this product and the ease of use. Now I'm so used to this thing that if I turn it off, the built-in 5.1 TV speakers that used to sound pretty good, feel like tin-can speakers. I am extremely happy with this product (at this price point) and am thinking of adding another one to complement two 8" ceiling speakers in my family room. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to add that extra touch of bass to an existing TV or iPod dock or any speakers that lack the bass. I hope the $208 price stays the same for a while or even drops further.
A perfect solution for the Onkyo TX 8511 bass issues September 2, 2009 John Bartlett (San Diego, Ca) 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
I run rather small main speakers (Polk Audio RTi 4's) in an average size room and like most people, I thought the bass was a little thin. Because my Onkyo TX 8511 does not have a dedicated subwoofer or center channel output, about the only solution was to hard wire a powered subwoofer to the amp's speaker outputs then back out to the mains...until now. As the Tape 2 output on the TX 8511 is an unswitched line output, I merely attached a pair of Y-Cables to the Tape 2 output with one branch going to a Niles 3 deck Tape Deck Switch and the other to the transmitter for my Polk Audio PSWi 225 wireless subwoofer. Problem solved. Absolutely clean bass, no buzz, no interference with other wireless devices thanks to a 4 channel selector switch. Automatic signal sensing so there's no need to shut the sub off when not using it. The sub has a 100w rms amp which is more than adequate for the room. I don't know if this would be ok for really large rooms.
