Product Description
More color, for a more colorful image. Mitsubishi is taking Color to a new level with x.v.Color support and its exclusive 6-Color Light Engine. x.v.Color is the new standard for HDTV color and it enables 80% more color than standard HDTV! Mitsubishi's 6-Color Light Engine processes and produces images with six different colors instead of the traditional three to display a wider range of colors, brighter colors and whiter whites. Additional color features such as Color 4D Video Noise Reduction, PerfectColor and PerfecTint allow for additional advanced color processing and adjustment. The result is breathtaking realism with vivid, yet natural Color Without Compromise.

With a television this size, offering more than two million pixels is important to prevent visible pixelation.p table align=left width=300 cellpadding=10 tr td img src="http://images.amazon.com/images/G/01/electronics/detail-page/B000RYUWX4-1.jpg" border=0 align=topbrbrspan class="caption"The WD-57734 supports the x.v.Color standard for 80 percent more color than standard HDTV. View larger./span /td /tr /table The television can display any video signal that is connected to it. When a 1080p signal is the input, it passes through with no down conversion: The 1080p signal is maintained from beginning to end, giving the best picture quality. When a lower resolution is detected, whether it is 720p HD or a DVD, the signal is automatically scaled to display at 1080p, with minimal side effects and a very detailed picture.p The screen is big and the technologies are many, but the unit itself weighs just 62.4 pounds and is only 14 inches deep, which means it will fit into many decors.p bMore Color/bbr The WD-57734 incorporates a slew of new technologies that combine to give this television the most realistic color reproduction available on the market today. The new x.v.Color standard is supported, which dramatically increases the color space available, with 80 percent more color than standard HDTV.p The WD-57734 also supports Deep Color, a new standard that incorporates 10-bit color depth, versus the previous 8-bit color depth. With Deep Color, shaded images show less banding and greater contrast.p Coupled with this technology is Mitsubishi's exclusive 6-Color Light Engine, which uses six primary colors instead of the traditional three to create more colors. Mitsubishi's Color 4D Noise Reduction, PerfectColor, and PerfectTint yield a wider color palette and the ability to fine tune the set to your exact preferences. The end result is a brighter, smoother, and more realistic picture than ever before.p bConnections Galore/bbr You don't need to worry about running out of connections with the WD-57734. It has a total of four HDMI 1.3 inputs with Simplay HD certification, three in the rear and one in the front, so you can connect your Blu-Ray player, HD DVD player, and still have two inputs left over. It also has three component video inputs (two rear, one front), a front USB connection so you can display up to five-megapixel photographs, and two A/V inputs with S-Video. It has a Dolby Digital/PCM output and an analog stereo output. Mitsubishi's NetCommand enables the included partially illuminated remote to control an entire home theater system.p The WD-57734 is backed by a limited 1-year warranty.p bWhat's in the Box/bbr WD-57734 57-inch DLP HDTV, remote control, two AA batteries, owner's guide, quick reference guide, quick connect guide, product registration card, and two-ended IR emitter. br clear="all"

4 out of 5 stars Solid TV, great price, could use more HDMI inputs   June 17, 2008

I love this TV. HD is sharp and vivid. The colors are amazing. Its very light weight despite the size. I was so surprised that I could pick this up by myself. I have 2 minor complaints br / br /* it could use a few more HDMI inputs br /* included universal remote doesn't have code scan so if its not in the code book your stuck. (I purchased Logitech Harmony remote) br / br /These are minor complaints though. This is an amazing TV. br / br /

5 out of 5 stars The way TV is SUPPOSED to look.   April 6, 2008

Checked out too many systems to count. Settled on DLP because it made sense. Unit arrived 1 week early (Electronics Expo is great.) Unpacked it, plugged it in, connected the cable, it has been flawless. People are actually STUNNED when they see the screen. Worth alot more than the $1400 I paid. If you're looking for a 57" system, don't even bother checking the others out.

5 out of 5 stars Mitsubishi 57" DLP   March 28, 2008

Excellent bright HD picture. I chose a DLP because it was to be installed in and entertainment center so depth was of no concern. Also, a larger DLP unit can fit into same space as a smaller LCD since there is less framework around the screen. I was able to fit a 57" DLP into the space where a 52" LCD would fit.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome DLP HDTV   January 29, 2008

I just recently purchased this set after wading through every televison set on the market. LCDs, Plasma, all major brands, etc. etc. I finally choose the Mitsubishi. It has great color, depth, and clarity. I have it hooked up to my Bose system, HDTV cable box, and a Wii gaming console. All the attached components look and sound awesome. Combined with a Harmony remote to control all those components makes it much easier to control. 1080i looks awesome and Blue Ray just blows me away. The upconversion, or "plush", does a great job of boosting the lower resolutions up to 1080. This set is definitely not lackinig in inputs. There are four HDMI (3 rear and 1 front), 3 component (2 rear, 1 front), s-video, optical audio, computer connection, etc. It automatically recognizes when in input is connected! Input customization is also available. An IR controller gadget called Net Command is also included which lets you control your older audi or video components with the Mitsubishi remote. Awesome video and audio, inputs galore, external device control, what more can you ask for in a television set. If it could fetch me a beer I would be in heaven. Enjoy!
