4 out of 5 stars I'm beyond pleased.   November 14, 2009
Clayton Henry
I just bought this TV a week ago. I'd been browsing electronics stores for a couple of years waiting for the right deal on the right HDTV. Like most people, I noticed the Sony and Samsung TVs stood out from the rest. However, I will put the picture quality of this Panasonic up against any Sony or Samsung. HD channels look great and Blu-rays look even better. br / br /My only complaint is there is sometimes a slight echo effect in the sound. It's not that noiceable but it is there about 10% of the time. I've remedied that problem by purchasing an optical audio cable and running it through my Samsung receiver with 5.1 surround sound. I would have chosen to go this route anyway because, as we all know, flat panel HDTVs have terrible sound right out of the box. You just can't get good sound out of something that thin. br / br /That minor complaint aside, I'm very happy with my purchase. And since I've never had a problem with any of the Panasonic products I've ever bought, I plan on having this TV for a very long time.

5 out of 5 stars Wonderful HDTV and great price to boot   November 11, 2009

This is my fist HDTV and I am not a tech-o-phile. I researched various internet sites and went to all of the various local stores to view many different HDTV's. In all of the stores, this set seemed to have the best or nearly the best picture -- regardless of price. I ended up paying $589 about ten days ago (on sale) and am thrilled with the purchase. The incredible ease of set up was unexpected. It is located in my family room and the viewing distances are approximately 6-10 feet, both direct and slightly angled. The picture quality is amazing. It is connected to cable with many HDTV options. I've also got the Wii hooked up to it and all of the games look terrific. I do not use a home theater system and the stock speakers in the TV seem more than adequate. I would recommend this HDTV to anyone who was viewing from within 10-12 feet. If I had greater distances, I'd probably get a bigger screen size for better viewing impact.

a href="http://www.amazon.com/review/R3K64NTCMNETG"Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3K64NTCMNETG/a This video is for Panasonic VIERA S1 Series TC-L37S1. Somethings that are not in the video: br /- I think the audio for the tv is pretty good. I use it sometimes when I forget to turn on my surround. My apartment is small and I sit 6 to 9 feet back. Never had to put the tv pass 50. br / br /- My tv came with a 2 stuck blue pixel and sadly I can't return it. I bought it from a website called homegoodz(don't recommend). The stuck pixels only pop up on black backgrounds but it can get annoying at times. However I can't blame that on the tv or call Panasonic a unreliable brand. br / br /- Forgot to mention the component connection is on the back of the tv. br /- Any Lag in the video isn't the tv's fault or the programing's fault.
