Plugged in and no problems (with XP). Controller doesn't feel quite as heavy as regular console controllers so in that way it feels a little cheaper, but other than that it's got pretty much the same feel as a PS1 controller. We use it for NES, SNES, Atari, PS1 and N64 emulators. The only problem is with N64 games because the N64 controller has so many buttons, but a lot of them aren't used anyway so you just have to play around with the configuration to use the ones you want. Also, the price for these is great.

I just wanted something that could play some old games on emulators. This hooked right up and worked. You just have to set the button configuration and you are ready to play. Makes it easier to play and easier on my laptop keyboard. For a cheap way to play hundreds of old games this is the best buy.

We bought these so our boys (4 6) could play video games on the computer. I personally have not used them much. They seem to work well for them. I find them a little confusing, but I do not play a lot of video games so it may just be me. For the money, we are getting a great deal. Our kids are playing video games on a computer t hat we already own and we aren't sucked into buying a Wii or PS yet.
