I'm a software engineer working in the insurance industry. Let me tell you, that is exciting stuff.
Anyways, I purchased a house a little over a month ago and immediately started work on a home theater. Having just purchased a new house, finances are a little tight at the moment, so I am planning on going slow as time and money allows. I am a single guy, so no wife means nobody to tell me I'm crazy and can't do stuff.
I started off with an infinite baffle subwoofer project, because I like my bass and wanted to see what all the hoopla is about. I started out modest with 4 of the Parts Express IB15 subs, the Behringer A500 amp, and Behringer DSP1124P EQ. Its installed and working, and I have begun taking measurments of the in room response. It sounds pretty good, but I have two terrible nulls at the main seating position. I guess my next project will be to start building bass traps. I'm hoping this will satisfy me long enough to finish the rest of the theater, but something tells me I'll be going a little more extreme with better subs and a much more powerfull amp later on down the road.
