Thats right, it is a RealTek soundcard. I have checked the playback and recording mixer of windows and noticed that Line In in Recording Control is not selected and I cannot select it manually. In fact I cannot select Aux or CD Player either. I cannot only select stereo mix or SPDIF in Recording Control.

The RealTek soundeffect manager has no effects turned on and the correct speakers and ports are selected. A Line In input is detected but yet I cannot select any sources in the windows Recording Control. Would you be able to shed any light on this?
