Um, I'm wondering if this is for real or not....
Bob, take a box or can and make it have a small hole. Yell into the hole then stick your finger over it for a few seconds. If you take your finger away, does the yell come back out?
If you are in a closed room, and you talk, do your words keep bouncing around for a couple of hours?
Real answer: the bass traps take the sound energy and convert them to heat.
