Re: Anemometer?

I consider myself an amateur meteorologist. I've had a interest in weather since I was a little kid.

I bought a weather(s) station about seven years ago and have never regretted it. My first one was a (Davis Instruments) Weather Monitor II then replaced with it the Vantage Pro Plus. It's classified as a amateur piece of equipment. And I'm sure it's WAY above want you want to pay if all your looking for is the anemometer section.

What you might want to do is check out some of the online weather forums. I can list them if you like but I don't know if it's allowed here. I can PM them to you too.
Most of those forums have "For Sale" sections and you might be able to find someone selling a old weather station cheap....and you could hook up the anemometer part by itself. Who knows, maybe you might find yourself enjoying the entire weather station.

Just a thought!

If you have any questions about any equipment you might find online and may be interested in, feel free to ask me if I have any comments on it.

I have a weather web page where you can check out the wind anytime......
