I haven't noticed the alarms, but interesting you should be using the REW to check the sub distance in the AV. I ran a few sweeps with MAINS + SUB using the AV amps "auto" distance for the SUB with the BFD in place, then the physical distance as measured (much less) and finally the physical distance plus 1ft for the BFD (which was still about 400mm less than the AV amp's distance).

There is no doubt and it was as clear as day the the amps auto distance setting produced the best response with mains and sub. Even though it was "wrong" compared to the physical and BFD 1ft adjustment rule.

I've always suspected that the Amps delay/distance settings are more likely to be right than using a tape measure! Now I have proof. Well for the sub at least!

My physical measurement is 2.6m but I got the best integration setting it at 3.6m.
