Let's see... when I was 20 I was living in an apartment by myself and owned a rack system that I can't remember the name of... but it cost me about $400-500 I believe. Of course that was 24 years ago too.
When you get a chance I'd love to hear about your Rythmik DirectServo kit with maybe some pics. I suppose that would considered a DIY kit huh? Maybe you could start a thread over in the Components | Speakers section on your process of putting it together.
