Ok, Let me get this straight, I was going to buy a SMS-1, (ulness you suggest otherwise) and I would also like to try to use REW to take some measurements, what all would I need to get my laptop prepared for this task. Looks like a need a external sound card (which one?)
Looks like I can use the mic from the SMS-1, but I will need a preamp with phantom power like the Behringer XENYX 802 preamp or the AudioBuddy.
Would I get the same results with the RS meter or the Behringer ECM 8000 that comes with the SMS-1.
If I use the RS meter, I just need a Ext. sound card, right..
Am I somewhat on the right track here...?

I have a PB12-Plus/2 in a large room, and although it sounds awesome, I would really like to get a grasp on charting and tweaking...
I know this has been asked here probably plenty, but would appreciate your input.
