. You would have to "backup" most SD DVD's so there would be no CSS protection on the "backups". It is a goofy industry policy to not allow upconversion of SD DVD's with component video. Makes using a PC to do "backups" using something like DVDFab Decrypter (use Google to find it) a necessity. But the benefit is that you can then use DVD Shrink to re-author it and skip the intro commercials, select the desired audio track, etc. "Backups" can be so much nicer for movie night.
