I'm thinking Bob would probably need 12 to get his response that flat on REW.
Bob... why not throw us a sweep of your filtered response so we can compare the difference? This would indeed be interesting. And to get a sho-nuff comparison you could smooth the full resolution response to 1/6 octave and it should look close to your above response (I think).
