With an old RS SPL meter, I measured the floorstanders' output like a sub. Then I ran "full range" sweep (after recalibrating with "full range pink noise") to view the result after applying 6 filters. I thought someone said BFD for full range use would make the sound gritty. I was trying hard to hear the grit but did not find the sound to be gritty at all. Here's the plot:
