I think it'd be worth it, even if it has to be an xmas present to yourself.

Cool, thanks for that link Willy... I usually tend to agree on the idea of getting quality products... they will last me a long time, and I won't ever feel like I made the wrong descision... These things are going to be monsters, but truly unique and beautiful...
Looks like my tool collection is getting bigger as we speak, I just bought a Rigid Table saw earier this month to help me complete my deck, and now Im buying a Rigid Jointer, so I can work with this Hardwood... Luckily I have almost every other tool I could possibly need... Now Im finding I need to dump a bunch of money in quality clamps as well.. hehehehhe So many tools, so little time..

I wish they had pictures, I'd love to see some of that exotic stuff. I haven't even heard of a few of them. What about your marble top, have you picked out what you want to use, or are you still looking at that too? It will be a lot easier I guess when you have one picked out. You could always browse some high end kitchens online and in magazines to get some good ideas for combinations.
There are truly some amazing looking woods there, I might just build 1 in one type of wood, and the other something different, but I will pick out granite after I have made a selection of wood, and pull the colors out of the wood for something cool.

I have always been more of a Metal working kind of guy, so starting to get more familiar with wood is a fun adventure for me... Im extremely lucky to have made a ton of friends to get me discounts on so many of these things...

Here is a cool site with some different exotic hardwoods... gorgeous to say the least..... http://www.sarasotarockers.com/woodgallery/index.html
My place has a number of those products, obviously at a cost...
