Well, as I said in my initial post, outside the low frequency subwoofer frequency range, equalization is quite ineffective in creating suitable results beyond a very small listening sweet spot (as a result of shorter wavelengths). The EQ at higher than subwoofer frequencies is really only valid at the point where the response was measured and a small region around that point (don't move your head). So, I don't see how the convolver would be of any use for a set of mains.
Measure at different locations, and the dips and peaks for the mains frequencies, and the result will be completely different.
