REW suggest filters for parametric equalizers, which is a device to place between the receivers LFE/SUB out jack and a subwoofer. The filters are entered directly into the equalizer, either by hand or directly through a cable from REW and your PC. If you have peaks in your subwoofer response because of room modes (and everyone does), they will be removed by the equalizer. The equalizer most people use is the
Behringer FBQ 2496 or the
BFD 1124P.
Above the subwoofer range, up to about 500Hz, people use REW to establish where room treatments would be effective.
