The boards usually need to be removed in most Sony sets to do very much. Be very careful. I cannot give you every detail about how to look for problems and avoid creating new ones. Handle the boards and wiring very carefully, noting exactly how wires are placed, as changing where they are routed can affect convergence. Be careful not to damage the boards, connections, and wires. There may be some capacitors that hold a charge.
