I recently heard Bela Fleck play live with Victor Wooten at a free outdoor bluegrass festival in San Francisco. I'm not much of a bluegrass fan, but wow, he put on quite a show. I've been meaning to pick up one of his CDs, but I'm being a little cautious since I've been frequently disappointed with studio recordings after hearing a band live first. Have you listened to any of Bela Fleck's other CDs? Flight of the Cosmic Hippo and Live at the Quick got some good reviews. Any other suggestions?
