Hello, my name is Vern and I live in Seattle, Washington. I'm new to this, so if this isn't the place to post this message please let me know. I have a Mitsubishi WS55809 projection tv that's about 6 years old and has worked without problem until about 3 months ago. When all of the sudden one night when I turned it on the picture seemed to be almost concave or bowed. The colors on each side of the screen are misaligned and seem to be stretched. I'm not sure I am describing it correctly but maybee you know what I am trying to say. Also it doesn't happen all the time, it will go away for a while and then come back unexpectedly, sometimes if I smack the side of the tv it will go away. I'm not sure of what's going on, let me know if there is anything I can do. I am an auto technician so I am somewhat inclined, can this be something I can do myself or do I have to take it in?
