I have never seen a convergence failure in one of these cause the power supply to go down, beyond taking out the pico fuses on the +/- supply lines to the convergence circuit. The main power supply is likely not running or the standby supply is down if there is no response. More common on this set would be a coolant leak or bad caps on the low voltage regulators, or a main PS regulator that is shorted. If the latter, there is usually something more severe shorted or the set took damage from an external cause such as lightning or a power surge. Time for some skilled troubleshooting or at least some careful and complete observation.
