Who is everyone? Have you checked with Mitsubishi? They show it in stock.
It is not advisable to substitute a part unless you understand the function in the circuit and the specs of the original. It may or may not be a critical application. That diode is a fast recovery type and could likely be subbed, but not knowing what it was doing, I would not advise blindly choosing a sub. That said, you can go to the NTE web site and see what it crosses to, likely something like a NTE552, but be careful...
